Still Life With Apocalypse
"I wish there had been a war, a plague or some new, grand Chernobyl. Something we could point to and say, “That’s it. That’s what killed the world.” But it wasn’t like that."
Still Life With Apocalypse is a short story by Richard Kadrey, detailing the mundane everyday life of the narrator in an ambiguously post-apocalyptic world. I tried to capture this same sense of contrasting banality and extremity in this short video, experimenting with a combination of 2D stop-motion and digital animation.
